He is God;
There is no god but He.
He is the knower of the Unseen
and the Visible;
He is the All-merciful, the All-compassionate.~
He knows what is in the heavens
and on earth;
and He knows what ye conceal
and what ye reveal: yea,
Allah knows well the (secrets)
of (all) hearts.~

The Word of God
is the medicine of the heart.
Knowledge and practice are twins, and both go together for there is no knowledge without practice, and no practice without knowledge.
When God wants to humiliate a person, He deprives him of knowledge.
Knowledge is the sum total of excellence;
he who teaches you a letter binds you with a fetter of gratitude.
Knowledge enlivens the soul.
The learned lives although he dies.
To respect the learned is
to respect God.
To seek council is to go to the fountain of guidance.
The vision of the eye is limited;
the vision of the heart transcends all barriers of time and space.
He who does not know his own worth, is doomed to destruction.
Hadrat Ali
May Allah be pleased with him
O my people! Respond to me, for I am the crier of Allah
(Almighty and Glorious is He), calling you to His door and His obedient service. I am not calling you to myself. The hypocrite does not call the people to Allah (Almighty and Glorious is He); he is a self-promoter. He is looking for favors and acceptance, seeking worldly gain.
Shaikh Muhyi'din 'Abd al-Qadir al-Jilani
May Allah perfume his resting place.
Throughout your
days, nafakhat rabbikum, divine addressings, are
blowing into your ears.
But you must be ready
to receive some of His addressings to you, you must be ready to listen.
